We are looking for Part-Time Waking Night Support Workers to join our growing team in Sheffield and Derbyshire. Experience is not essential as we will provide you with support and training to become a confident Support Worker. We are looking for people who are naturally caring and compassionate.

Covering leave, training and sickness with hours that fit in with life's other commitments, a casual support worker role is an ideal way of discovering that this could be the career for you. Hft is a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. We believe in a world where anyone with a learning disability can live within their community with all the choice and support they need to live the best life possible.

18 and 24 hour contracts are available for this role.

Waking night support workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals as required.

The role is tailored to the needs of the individual(s) you will be supporting. The tasks can include:

  • Assisting with taking medication
  • Monitoring people we support due to medical needs, such as seizures
  • Provide support during the night when the people you are supporting are awake and are struggling to go back to sleep
  • Support with personal care
  • Updating files such as finance logs and support plans
  • General household tasks, such as cleaning, washing and ironing
  • Performing security checks, including fire checks
