What we offer you

  • Your salary: £13.15 per hour
  • Your working hours: 30 hours per week- Monday to Friday- 9am-16pm 
  • Generous Holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including eight days statutory bank holidays).
  • Pay incentives:  10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.

What you’ll be doing

 

You will be supporting groups of adults take part in a variety of activities that help them to learn new skills, socialise and potentially work towards employment. Some of these activities are facilitated in our busy building where we run our own canteen and café. We are looking for a candidate with skills in areas such as art music drama horticulture cookery and IT. You will require some experience in planning and facilitating sessions with meaningful outcomes for learning disabled adults with a range of abilities. You will need competent computer skills to plan and record.

We also access a timetable of community-based activities that include gym sessions, swimming bowling and ramble groups. We use public transport and our own vehicles. For this position we require a candidate who is prepared to drive as part of their role.

We are very present in our community and run many inclusive club and music nights at various local venues. We would really welcome a candidate who is keen to help us plan more of these events and understands the importance of our social value in our community.
