We are looking for Support Workers to join our growing team in The Wirral - Cheshire. Experience is not essential as we will provide you with support and training to become a confident Support Worker. Hft is a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. What will you be doing?

 

*       You’ll be supporting individuals with Learning Difficulties between the ages of 20- 60 in their own home. Supporting individuals it can be a busy house and lots of coming and going.

*       You’ll be involved in supporting them in all activities of daily living as need to help them to live their lives how they want to.

*       You will empower them to make decisions for themselves, achieve their own dreams, goals and aspirations.

*       You will support them to ensure they are actively involved in their local community.

*       Assisting them to make maintain relationships with friends and family and support them to be as independent as possible by assisting them to learn life skills such as cooking and cleaning, managing finances, socialising and support in engaging in meaningful hobbies/activities.

 

The people you will be supporting would like you to be patient, outgoing but not loud. They have also expressed that they would like someone who enjoys the outdoors, watching films, trains, and discos.

  • Working hours: We are looking for people who are able to work 30 or more per week (Overtime is available across the whole Cluster)
  • Location- Ellesmere Port
  • Salary- £12 p/h
  • Working hours – early and late shifts and some weekends
  • Up to 50% bank holiday allowance**
  • Sleep ins at the service are £51.75 per shift + 12.07% (holiday pay)
