We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our friendly and welcoming team here at Hft. This is your chance to make a real difference to people's lives.

Working Location:  Hybrid Remote. Bristol Office Location & Home Working with a minimum of 1 day a week in the office location

Working Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing? 

The Senior Management Accountant will have responsibility for the provision of accurate and timely financial reports & analysis for the designated business area/s.

Supporting the Finance Manager (Management Accounting) in ensuring that these business areas operate within an adequate financial control environment in compliance with the appropriate regulatory requirements including centrally determined financial accounting policies and delegated authority levels.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation is properly reimbursed on a timely basis for the services it provides through management of the billing and cash collection processes.

The Senior Management Accountant will also be responsible for the direct line management of a Junior Management Accountant who will be assigned to the same Business Group. As such, you  will be expected to recruit, grow and develop great people and build a great team.

About you

  • You will have a professional accountancy qualification, such as an ACA, CIMA or ACCA.

  • You will have strong IT knowledge, including demonstrable proficiency experience of using Microsoft office suite with the ability to produce reports and presentations within Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • You will have strong organisational skills and experience of line managing a team.

  • You will have post qualification experience of preparing management accounts, experience of working in the commercial sector and experience of using access finance systems.
