Waking night support workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals as required. As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you will support individuals throughout the night to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
What we offer you
- Type of service – Supported Living - supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
- Location – Philippines Close, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5GN
- Salary information – £12.58 per hour (11.44 basic rate + 10% Waking Nights premium)
- Working hours – Waking Nights 10pm- 7am
- Up to 50% bank holiday allowance
- Generous Holidays: 33 days of annual leave (including eight days statutory bank holidays).
- Pay incentives: 10% overtime allowance, 20% Bank Holiday allowance, 50% for key dates over Christmas.

What you’ll be doing
Every day is different. You may be supporting someone to plan their weekly shop, to going on an outdoor adventure. Providing everyday personal care to supporting someone to go to their favourite gig. You could be building someone’s confidence in using public transport to teaching money management skills. What’s important is supporting people to discover new interests, achieve new goals and maintain important relationships with their family and friends.
You’ll provide the highest possible standard of care and support for learning disabled adults. Listening to their wants and needs, enabling people to do daily tasks such as taking medication, cooking a meal or working with them to build their confidence and take on new adventures they are longing for. All this while working a variety of shifts to support your work and home life balance.
Public transport to our service here is limited so it would be great if you had a driving licence and access to a car, or are able to get help getting to and from the service.
