Location: Hybrid remote. Home based with some ad-hoc travel to meetings in Emersons Green, Bristol (once per quarter).

​​​​​​​About the role

At Hft, our services support residents with learning disabilities and complex needs, which may include Autism, physical disabilities, mental health conditions and dementia. We are therefore looking for a person with good interpersonal skills and an ability to inspire positive change.

The role requires an experienced and qualified Health and Safety Co-Ordinator, to assist the Head of Health, Safety and Risk in the delivery of the Health and Safety’s functional objectives and organisational compliance with internal and external requirements.

The post holder will provide support on health and safety matters, alongside administrative support to operational colleagues, ensuring that all aspects of the role are dealt with accurately.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a good communicator, tailoring their message and approach to the receiver to ensure systems and processes are successfully embedded into practice
  • Has experience of supporting services in either Care and/or Housing sectors
  • Has the willingness to work towards NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Has a continuous improvement mind-set applying pragmatic and sustainable safety management approaches whilst ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Is a good relationship builder and be seen as a competent and approachable point of contact for the Health & Safety team
  • Is a self-Starter with good organisational and time management skills
