Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8.30-4.30pm with some flexibility expected around evening and weekend work

Join us as a Deputy Work Options Manager and create a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible.

You will provide leadership and expert guidance and support to Employability Coaches and ensure that there is a positive and proactive culture that supports interns and graduates to find appropriate employment opportunities. You will ensure that person centred practices take place and will act as a role model in this. In this role you will enable interns and graduates to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs.

 

Here is a snapshot of skills and responsibilities:

 

*       Proven track record of working with adults with a learning disability in an employment setting

*       Experience of employer engagement and building pro-active relationships

*       Assessment/Vocational profiling

*       Experience in leading and coaching a team is desirable

*       Level 3 Certificate in Supported Employment (or be working towards this)

*       Be willing to work towards a Level 4 Leadership and Management qualification

 

You will also

 

*        Work in partnership with social workers, families, advocates and other providers to ensure that the support is provided in a collaborative way with the person supported at the centre.

*        have operational oversight of the application, processing and acquisition of Access to Work funding to support the ongoing delivery of support.

*        Support the Work Options manager in ensuring reporting on such matters as accidents, risk assessments, RIDDOR, Safeguarding and to ensure that records are kept up to date.
