Hft, in partnership with Flintshire County Council is proud to launch Coed y Ddraig – a pioneering, carbon-neutral development set in 9 acres of woodland. This  unique service will offer Learning Disabled adults  enriching experiences in horticulture, seasonal crafts, and outdoor learning. The site will also feature a small community café and retail outlet, creating meaningful opportunities for skill-building and connection.

 

The successful Deputy Day Opportunities Manager will be joining us at an incredibly exciting time, as they will play a key role in shaping the future of the service.

 

As Deputy Day Opportunities Manager, you will:-

 

*       Lead and inspire a dedicated team to deliver outstanding, person-led support

*       Oversee the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring high-quality service delivery

*       Develop and grow community links, partnerships, and engagement

*       Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and sustainability

*       Help create a space where people can learn new skills, connect with nature, and thrive

 

What we’re looking for:

 

*       A strong, values-driven leader with experience in supporting with adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex care needs

*       A creative and flexible approach to service delivery and problem-solving

*       A passion for inclusive, outdoor, and eco-friendly approaches to support

*       Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent, OR willing to work towards within first 12 months of employment via HFT’s fully funded development program.

 

Experience supporting people with autism is  preferred for this service as we have plans and opportunities to  grow and expand our service offering and we are looking for someone with drive and vision to help us do so.
