Day Opportunities Manager

We are looking for a Day Opportunities Manager to join us to lead our dynamic day support services across Flintshire. This role is perfect for someone with a creative hand on approach who can inspire both staff and service users to develop skills, build confidence and connect with the community.
What can you expect?
As a Day Opportunities Manager you will manage a variety of services supporting adults with Learning Disabilities based in Flint, Greenfield and wider Flintshire area.
- 1: An upcycling workshop where the team Upcycle and service Bicycles, craft items from pallet wood and rework furniture and other items heading for landfill.
- 2: 4 activity spaces: Upcycling Room - crafting pallet wood and small pieces of furniture, IT room – using computers and Cricut. Hair and Nail Salon & Craft & sewing room.
- 3: Nature Force – community outdoor projects including allotments, walking group, litter picking.
We are keen to receive applications from people who can support these activities. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the services including: Health and Safety, Human Resources, Quality & Compliance & Training with support from our Specialist teams.

Alongside the Senior Day Opportunities Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of clinical and personal support and service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service.
As a senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times, doing all you can to make sure that the people we support and their colleagues come to no harm and that the people we support are satisfied with the level of support they receive by acting as an exemplary role model.
About you
* You will have experience supporting adults with complex learning disabilities.
* You need good IT skills and experience of maintaining records to be a success in this role.
* You need to hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or acceptable equivalent) OR have the ability to achieve this within 18 months of appointment via HFT’s fully funded training and development program.
